About DDTI

Experience

Fueling innovation.

We have more than 12 years of experience building base maps, starting from a NASA initiative with The Ohio State Center for Mapping. With the realization that the address is the key to unlocking the power of all aspects of GIS, we developed what is today the most effective, reliable and accurate method for collecting highly detailed road centerline address data. Utilizing a third generation fleet of vehicles equipped with distance measuring instrumentation and inertial navigation systems, our team of GIS professionals has relied on the DDTI-developed Voice Information Recording and Data Acquisition System (VIRDA) to accurately collect tens of thousands of centerline miles and more than 1 million address points. This unparalleled process is also what led DDTI to be recognized by local government as the provider of choice for the pilot phase of its statewide initiative to build a high resolution road centerline GIS data layer that includes a comprehensive point-based and field-verified address inventory, advanced address ranges, State ties to the Department of Transportation's Linear Referencing System (LRS) and a wide-ranging road asset inventory.

We boast a knowledgeable team with PhD-level expertise in Geodesy, Mathematics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, allowing us to build a highly efficient company that excels in delivering precise, accurate data and stable software.

Culture

Striking a balance.

At DDTI, we understand the significance of the life-saving services we provide. Our employees are dedicated to all aspects of our business, whether it's delivering a well-executed project, successfully installing a program or providing round-the-clock client support.

At the same time, enriching the lives of our employee family helps us maintain a motivated staff, while promoting the healthy balance between work and play. We gather several times throughout the year for company fun activities away from the office to encourage employee interaction. Strong supporters of giving back to the community, we are proud to employ a team that actively volunteers at a variety of local non-profit organizations and often welcome their suggestions in planning similar company efforts. We also support the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Adopt-a-Roadway program, maintaining a two-mile road segment in the county where we initiated our signature intelligent basemapping experience.
